Dr. Rehema Msimbe
Dr. Rehema Msimbe is the THPS Regional Program Manager for Afya Kwanza project in Pwani Region. At this position, she oversees planning, management and implementation of the project activities at 73 supported facilities in 9 district councils of Pwani region.
Dr. Rehema is a public health specialist and registered medical doctor holding a Masters in Public health degree with over 11 years of experience in working with the Tanzania health care system particularly in health system strengthening and project management.
Dr. Rehema’s technical expertise includes facility and national HIV care and treatment support, TB and Maternal and Child health, Family Planning, nutrition, continuous quality improvement and grants writing. She is also experienced in working with the government, sub grantees, facility and community in project implementation, monitoring, integration of thematic areas for results and efficiency; evaluation and support on preparing national public health strategies including National HIV/AIDS strategic Plan, provision of mentorship services and applied data driven approach on Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to assess progress and take corrective actions. Dr. Rehema possess a valid experience in managing budgets; workplan, donor reporting and financial reports reviews.
Dr Rehema worked with international and local multi donor funded programs at ICAP and MDH through CDC and USAID funded programs and is experienced in program transition. She is a well networked professional with over five professional associations and worked smoothly with MoHCDGEC, NACP, TACAIDS and NTLP. She established the 1st second line Antiretroviral specialized clinic at AKC Mnazi Mmoja Athulabhai clinic where she served over 1000 clients with provision of clinical care, support, counselling and prescriptions before she moved to implement regional programs in 124 facilities by then in Pwani region.
