Dr. Msafiri L. Marijani is a THPS Board of Director. He is the Director of Diagnostic services at Mnazi Mmoja Referral Hospital, Zanzibar since 2017. He has worked as a Pathologist and Head of Diagnostic services at Mnazi Mmoja Referral Hospital since 2010 where the Pathology Laboratory was able to obtain International Accreditation in 2016 from accrediting body SADCAS. He has participated in various researches in Tuberculosis with publications in various journals. He served as a Secretary of Zanzibar Medical Research and Ethics committee (ZAMREC) from 2012 -2018 and is currently newly appointed as a Director in the Board of Directors for the Zanzibar Health Research Institute (ZAHRI). He is Founder and consultant of the One Stop Centers in Zanzibar since 2011 which gives services to survivors of Gender Based Violence (GBV).
