Dr. Consolata Mathew

Dr. Consolata Mathew is the Zonal Project Manager for the USAID Uhuru Tuberculosis and Family Planning Facility Solutions Activity at THPS in the Songwe and Rukwa regions. 

In this role she is responsible for the provision of leadership, management and technical support in the overall implementation of the USAID Uhuru; Tuberculosis and Family Planning Integrated Facility Solutions Activity in the regions. 

She is responsible for planning and coordinating TB and reproductive health program-supported activities in collaboration with regional and district authorities for improved performance across all key intervention program areas.

Before joining THPS, Dr. Consolata worked with other PEPFAR donor-funded organizations in different capacities including TB/HIV and Nutrition Advisor at HJF Medical Research International for 3 years, supporting Mbeya, Rukwa, Katavi and Songwe regions. In this role, she provided clinical advice and direction in the implementation and scaling up of quality TB/HIV services in 390 care and treatment-supported facilities. 

She also worked as a Program Officer, TB/HIV for AGPAHI supporting Tanga Region and Site Improvement through Monitoring System (SIMS) Officer for WRAIR- DoD.  

Dr Consolata also worked as a Medical Officer at the Aga Khan Hospital in Dar es Salaam for 2 years.

She holds a Medical Doctor degree from the Catholic University of Health and Allied Sciences and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Public Health from Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences.
