Dr. Alexander Christopher Kyarwenda is the THPS Technical Director responsible for overall technical leadership providing technical guidance through overseeing and integrating all elements of HIV clinical care at THPS supported regions. He serves as a member of the national pediatric HIV technical working group and has contributed to the development of various HIV management guideline revisions, training packages, standard operating procedures and continued medical education sessions aimed to increase capacity and competency of health care providers

Dr. Alexander has over 15 years of experience in managing and implementing HIV care and treatment programs through working as a clinician for Benjamin William Mkapa HIV and AIDS Foundation in Mpanda District; Paediatrician for Baylor International Paediatric Initiative (BIPAI) in Mbeya region and as the care and treatment Advisor for Henry Jackson Foundation Medical Research International (HJFMRI) in Mbeya region.

Dr. Alexander is a Medical Doctor and holds a Masters of Medicine in Paediatrics and child health from Catholic University of Health and Allied Sciences- Bugando University.
