Dr. John Roman

Dr. John Roman Kimario is THPS Regional Program Manager for Pwani region under the CDC/PEPFAR Afya Hatua project. In this role, he serves as the primary technical and managerial lead providing strategic leadership in the implementation of the project activities.

Dr. Kimario holds a Master of Public Health – Implementation Science from Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences, a Bachelor of Medicine degree and Bachelor of Surgery degree from Makerere University.

He has over ten years of professional experience in public health at various levels. He previously worked at Family Health International 360 (FHI360) as a Regional Technical Manager under the USAID Boresha Afya Southern Zone project based in Iringa; MDH as a PMTCT/EID and Pediatric HIV Advisor under USAID Boresha Afya Southern Zone based in Mafinga – Iringa, and Elizabeth Glaser Paediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) as a Program Officer – Clinical Services based in Tabora.
