Is the Technical Director and Deputy Chief of Party for the USAID Uhuru wa Afya Project, implemented in 22 councils in Katavi, Kigoma, Rukwa, and Songwe regions. He oversees overall technical matters related to the execution of the project, including the provision of technical support to the project staff, Regional and Council Health Management Teams, healthcare workers, and community health workers on tuberculosis and family planning services.
With over 20 years of work experience, Dr. Mkambu has extensive experience in clinical management, teaching, research, leadership, and management. He has previously worked with the Ministry of Health as a clinical instructor and specialist in obstetrics and gynecology in various hospitals. He has also worked with other NGOs and the private sector.
