Godfrey Mtimili

Mr. Godfrey Mtimili is the Associate Director – Sub Grants and Contracts for THPS. As part of the THPS leadership team, he is responsible for providing overall guidance and support in the identification of subgrantees, pre-award assessment, planning, engaging and monitoring the effective implementation of the signed sub-agreements for all THPS-supported projects. This includes donor reporting of the Human Resources for Health (HRH), Expenditure Reporting (ER), general Federal Reporting and proper project close-out.

 He has over 18 years of experience in project management including project planning, accounting, compliance, capacity building and grant management including 13 years working at senior level as Senior Grants Manager for HIV/ AIDS- PEPFAR funded projects under CDC and USAID. Before joining THPS, Mr. Mtimili worked with ICAP-Columbia University as a Grants Manager as well as with Deloitte Consulting Limited and Care International in comprehensive grants administration, reporting and compliance.

Mr. Mtimili holds a Master’s degree in Corporate Management and a Bachelor  of  Commerce in Accounting. He has first-hand experience in working with and monitoring subgrantees under Presidents Office Regional Administrations and Local Government Authorities (PO -RALG) in Kagera, Kigoma, Lindi, Mtwara, Pwani, Shinyanga and Tanga regions. He has vast experience in subgrant management for various national and international Universities, and national and international NGOs including Civil Society Organizations and the Ministry of Health for  Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar.
