THPS, in collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Health, and the President’s Office Regional Administration and Local Government, is implementing the five-year USAID Police and Prisons Healthcare project from August 2020 to August 2025. This project aims to support sustainable health service delivery for police and prison staff, their families, prisoners, and surrounding communities.

The project has three main objectives:

1. Improve access to HIV and TB prevention, care, and treatment services.
2. Enhance the quality of HIV and TB prevention, care, and treatment services.
3. Strengthen systems for delivering quality HIV and TB prevention, care, and treatment services at 65 supported Tanzania Police Force and Tanzania Prisons health facilities in 35 districts of Tanzania mainland and Zanzibar.
